Our Educators
Meet Sara
Sara is the owner, founder and director of both Oasis Hair & Beauty salon and Kings Academy.
Sara has over 35 years experience in the hair and beauty industry. She is an educator, and assessor, but her strengths lie in working behind the scenes as director of education.
Meet Ceri
Ceri has been in the industry for over 20 years. She specialises in business management and strives to help the business grow and develop. Ceri manages the training team and mentors new staff members.
Ceri has been part of the Training Academy since the very start 5 years ago and oversees the school links provisions: VTCT, NVQs and VRQ courses and business growth.
Meet Kay
Kay has been in the hair and beauty industry for 35 years. She still loves working with her clients in the salon. She has now brought her passion into the education sector at Kings Academy through teaching.
She has a passion for the field and enjoys sharing her knowledge and skills with her learners. Kay is also responsible for resources, planning and safeguarding ensuring the highest standards are maintained by everybody.
Meet Julie
Julie is our head of Beauty, Education and training and has 45 years experience within the hair and beauty industry.
She was also a college lecturer for 30 years with a degree in education, teaching and training.
Julie always keeps up with constant CPD (career professional development) updating skills, trends, and techniques. She is the Senior lead IQA and also oversees quality assurance while maintaining standardisation across the team at Kings Academy.
Meet Heather
Heather was told Hairdressing was not a suitable career, but with a headstrong attitude she went on to not only become a Hairstylist with level 3 in hairdressing - but she also developed her career by branching out in to Afro-Caribbean hair and is able to work with all hair types.
Heather continues to educate and carry on teaching. She has her AET, TAQA and is in the process of finishing her IQA. Heather has come to see that she has a burning desire to share her skills and experience with others and so joined the King's Academy team in 2022.
Meet Rachel
Rachel has over 15 years experience within the beauty industry and loves what she does.
Over the years she has built a passion for teaching & wants to share her skills and become a mentor for other people who are wanting to move into the beauty world and gain new skills.
She specialises in Lash treatments, massage and waxing. Rachel has also completed her Level 3 in education and Beauty Educators Diploma.
Meet Kelly
Kelly has been a hairdresser for 18 years and brings a wealth of experience to Kings Academy.
She started her journey as an apprentice, working her way to become a Salon Owner - and has owned her salon for the last 8 years.
She is a creative stylist who specialises in hair extensions and hair loss.
She also loves colouring, especially foiling techniques.
Meet Kayleigh
Kayleigh has been in the hair & beauty industry for 20 years.
She’s been running her own salon for the past 7 years and keeping up with all the latest cutting and colouring techniques is a must for Kayleigh.
She is the newest member of team of Educators at Kings Academy in Flintshire. While she loves her day-to-day salon work, she especially adores being creative and sharing her knowledge and experience.
